Team 2706: Merge Robotics
What do we do?
Each and every year, FIRST releases a brand new complex and exciting challenge. Under strict rules, limited resources, and limited time, teams are challenged to raise funds, design a team “brand”, hone teamwork skills, build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It’s as close to “real-world engineering” as a student can get!
Where we’re located
Merge Robotics has members coming from ~ 900km^2 across Ottawa. We meet in public spaces, such as the Ottawa Public Library, the Turkish Community Center, Entrust, and a garage given to us by MVS Remote Video Systems.
Who are we?
Merge Robotics is a high school aged, community robotics team, from Ottawa Ontario, that participates in the First Robotics Competition (FRC). Our team is comprised of 35 dedicated high school and grade 8 students. They are joined by a diverse group of mentors drawn from the Ottawa community: engineers, scientists, business leaders, graduate and undergraduate university students.
